Museum with two pavilions, the first one presenting temporary exhibitions and the second one permanent collections.
The aim of the Art and History museum of Saint-Brieuc and its two pavilions is to highlight Côtes-d'Armor or rather Côtes-du-Nord and the traditional activities of this department. The first presents temporary exhibitions; the second, the permanent galleries. The ground floor offers marine archaeology pieces that will tell you more about the history of the English Channel and the life aboard a ship. On the second floor you will be initiated on the land of Brittany, Argoat, with agricultural tools, models, and imposing machines for the flax weaving. Finally, the third floor is devoted to traditional Bretons clothing. Recommended for Breton culture enthusiasts, maybe the only downsides are the explanatory signs written in too small characters, a little furnished collection, and the overall impression of a slightly old arrangement.
