Don Miguel de Mañara, a Sevillian nobleman, had this hospice built for the destitute. As a patron of artists, he called on Murillo and Valdés Leal to decorate the chapel on the themes chosen during his lifetime: hunger, thirst and death. The chapel's high altar and its walls, which are covered with paintings by the two great artists of the Golden Age, have made the hospice famous. The white and red façade of the chapel is decorated with tiles attributed to Murillo.

Hemmed in a glass envelope, this museum, inaugurated in March 2011, presents the remains discovered on the site during the pre-construction work of the mushrooms at the Mirador Metropol Parasol. A large part dates from the Roman era (from the first to the century) when Seville was still called Hispalis; from the Muslim era remains the remains of a almohade house (dated th and th centuries). The place de la Alameda de Hércules is an undeniable promenade in Seville. Alameda means «walk». Hercules, for his part, would be according to legend the founder of the city. We owe this place to the Count of Barajas who, in 1574, planted deciduous trees and built beautiful fountains on ancient marshy lands. He had erected two columns from the Roman temple of rue Mármoles, which were crowned with sculptures by Julius Caesar and Hercules. The other two columns, with lions bearing a shield, were formed in the second half of the eighteenth century. Today, the Alameda is one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Seville thanks to its bars and cafés that encircle the square. Its bohemian atmosphere makes it unique.

During the visit of the archaeological site, the curious can walk in a neighbourhood of the city erected under Hadrian, and continue its journey in the city centre of Santiponce where the theatre and the minor thermal baths stand. 

Fruit of the work of the architects Aurelio del Pozo and Luis Marín, the théâtre de la Maestranza in 1991 was inaugurated by the king of Spain. It is located between the plaza de Toros and the torre del Oro. Specially built for the Universal Exhibition of 1992, it has preserved the barracks of the royal artillery which was held here. Its programming (symphonic and lyrical) is varied: opera, zarzuela, recital, dance, concerto, flamenco. Every two years, as part of the Biennial of flamenco, many shows take place.

You enter by an old wooden door: a path leads you to the oldest gardens in the city planted with orange trees, jasmine, olive trees, acanthuses and oleanders. In the middle of the tower (torre) is Don Fadrique. The space is quite limited, but the place is charming, strolling or read in the shade on a bench. These gardens, unknown to the general public, are the only relic of the buildings, grounds and gardens of Palacio del Infante Don Fadrique, given by Sancho IV to the foundation of the convent of Clarisses (Convento Santa Clara). The Murillo Gardens are located between the Alcázar Wall and the Alfaro and Refinadores squares. They can be reached via Avenida Menéndez Pelayo or Calle San Fernando. Created at the beginning of the 20th century, in a style similar to that of the Maria Luisa Park, typical of the Sevillian garden, they have three main avenues criss-crossed by small paths, all lined with palm trees, impressive and fragrant oleander bushes and ficus trees. You can rest on the benches decorated with azulejos to admire the monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus.

Numerous tombs and mausoleums from the 1st to the 4th centuries were unearthed at the end of the 19th century in this Necrópolis romana, one of the most important sites in Spain in terms of the number of paintings preserved. Of particular interest is the tumba de Servilia, the tomb of a large Hispano-Roman family, the largest of the structures and dating from the Augustan period, and the tumba del Elefante, decorated with a small statue of the tusked animal, dedicated to the cult of the deities of Cibeles and Attis. Also a very complete museum.

Casa Palacio Marqués de las Torres houses the center of interpretation and the museum of the city which present a collection of archeological and ethnographic elements reflecting the history and rich past of the city and its periods of maximum importance. And there will be an opportunity to discover a typical example of Carmona Palace in the eighteenth century. First of all, the imposing façade, characteristic of the baroque Seville Baroque and the decoration of the side façade, example of late Baroque. On two floors, the rooms of the house revolve around a square courtyard square.

The church of Santa Cruz was built on the plaza de la Virgen del Valle, built between 1776 and 1836 on the site of a mutiny temple, itself built on an ancient mosque established on the site of a Roman temple. From these different stages, she kept some elements like Wisigoths capitals and a blind arch to plaster decorations and arabesque forms. Its entrance still retains a magnificent mutiny arc dating back to the city's reconquest by Alphonse X in 1263, the only remaining Gothic-mutiny church with part of the cloister and tower. Inside, it houses very interesting baroque works such as the great retable of the eighteenth century devoted to the Virgin of the Valle, whose image was realized by the circle of Jerónimo Hernández in 1575 and comes from the convent of the Concepción de los Mercedarios. We will also note a Paleochristian sarcophagus of the Fifth century, presenting biblical scenes carved in stone and located on the altar of the altar and what is perhaps the greatest treasure of this church where the faithful worship Notre-Dame del Valle, the patron saint of the city: the silver ostennight of 2.50 meters high. You can also visit a museum of sacred art that houses a collection of eighteenth century goldsmith and a Shokendai «Shokendai» art lutrin, made in Japan during the Momoyama period in 1573, or a golden silver ostennight directed by Francisco de Alfaro Hernández to Seville in 1586.

And of course its renaissance style tower. From the bells, the view of the city is impressive, offering a unique spectacle composed of towers, bell-combs and watchtowers.
