Chapel where the faithful come to pay homage to the Christ of the Expiration whose statue was sculpted by Francisco Antonio Ruiz
It is in this chapel that the faithful come to pay homage to Christ of the Expiration (El Cachorro), Santísimo Cristo of the Expiración of El Cachorro, to be precise. The statue was sculpted by Francisco Antonio Ruiz Gijón in 1682 and made from the model of a gypsy who dying after a quarrel. You will take the time to observe all the peculiarities of this representation, including its mouth and throat. The entrance vault of this church to the broken white facade is decorated with bricks and azulejos. Christ was led in procession during the holy week.
