This nightclub acquired a certain notoriety and gained the loyalty of a clientele of all ages, the musical repertory sweeping all styles. The reception favors the regulars. Afterwards, the hardened clubbers will come in the second part of the night to party, because the opening is rather inert: the DJ starts by slow pieces while the track is still deserted. The sound system is of good quality, the prices of the drinks are aligned with the rates of the discos, and the very questionable cleanliness should have improved, as the establishment has been completely redone in 2019.

This former post office became in 1995, thanks to a few enthusiastic amateurs, a pocket theatre wishing to share the practice of dramatic art. The Petit Théâtre de Vallières offers a varied programme with dance, concerts, theatre and training courses. The 2021-2022 season was marked by the departure of Jean-Marc Grangier and the arrival of the new director of the Comédie: Céline Bréant. Federating and sharing are the two axes of her project for the Comédie, with a focus on opening up to young people and children. On the season's program, the chosen shows are varied and always appeal to the public over the years. Lovers of culture will enjoy some thirty shows: theater, dance, music and circus in the spotlight. The committed and creative artists offer quality demonstrations. Times of exchange and meetings are regularly scheduled. All you have to do is settle in and enjoy.

The Cour des Trois Coquins is a theater dedicated to professional companies. This multi-faceted place puts all disciplines in the spotlight: theater, dance, music or reading. It welcomes companies in residence and offers them optimal conditions for creation and work: workshops for the manufacture of sets, rehearsal spaces, stages to perform and often to play their premieres. More than 20 companies are welcomed each year. Event days allow the audience to discover what goes on behind the scenes and the creative process.

Rio was born in the 1960s. History has remembered the charismatic founder of this cinema, Nick Kechichian. His real first name was Antranig, a tailor of Armenian origin, he had a house built at 178 rue Sous-les-Vignes, which became Le Rio. It is a modest cinema where the great classics of auteur cinema are shown. Rio is still fighting for a different and authentic cinema, whose sole objective is not only profitability but also culture. The room, emblematic and historical, is also an Art et Essai. You will also find a programme for young audiences, one of the other specificities of cinema, conferences and debates and meet in person some of the great names in cinema!

The Capitole's programming appeals to moviegoers because it is one of the few to offer films in their original version as well as films d'auteurs. The Capitol became the Capitol in 1966, and in 1972 a new exterior look was given to the theatre, which was doubled in size. Four years later, the purchase followed the obtaining of the UGC label for the exploitation. Six theaters were created, a complete renovation was undertaken, and the booths were automated. A difficult period followed, before Pathé bought the cinema in 1992. Today, it is still the owner of the Capitole cinema. The five rooms of the cinema are classified Art et Essai and the films always delight the cinephiles.

La Petit Gaillarde is managed by the Association Peoples and Culture. This small theater can accommodate nearly 140 people and offers varied programming: theater, music, dance and other performances, as well as performances for the young audience (2 years old). The location is nice, close to Gaillard Square. Throughout the year, La Petit Gaillarde hosts theater troupes and thus offers authentic and original creations. Place de diffusion, La Petit Gaillarde is also a place of creation and repetition. Artists and local companies invest it on weekends and weekends to work. Le Valet de Coeur has been an intimate pocket theatre since 1977, located in a cobbled street that gives the old town its charm. Every season, amateur actors work alongside the Company's founders, Marie-Françoise Savary and Jean-Yves Lenoir, to bring the theatrical repertoire to life. Whether classical or contemporary pieces, the staging is of exceptional quality and serves the author and his work with a high standard, shared by the entire team. Le Coq Argenté is an institution in the Place Saint-Pierre. It's the ideal place to find out what's going on in the market and in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand. Don't be fooled, if the place seems ordinary, it inspires confidence in the regulars and conversations are going well. Bruno and his waiters are quick, efficient, friendly and considerate. The establishment is really pleasant during market hours or on sunny days. Each hour sees its regulars come and go, from the morning coffee to the evening aperitif. After more than 30 years of existence, the Captain's Cabin has grown again. The recipe for its longevity? A wide variety of alcohols and cocktails, the kindness of the team and a very extensive repertoire of songs for its karaoke! Music from the 80's or hot tracks liven up the evenings. On the ground floor, the lounge, open to the outside, is also a wine bar. Upstairs, the room can accommodate a hundred people around its dance floor and its screens. If the speakers need to be adjusted, the atmosphere never disappoints!

Nadège officiates at the Deux Comptoirs with a communicative good mood. Here, the regulars meet for an aperitif, a coffee or an evening in the small room with its retro decor, at the counter or on the terrace. A real meeting place for lovers of music, second degree and friendship. Exhibitions of local artists, thematic evenings and concerts animate the place. The retro atmosphere makes the happiness of forty and fifty year olds gathered around a cheese board or a local beer. The tiny terrace is the perfect place to meet up with friends!

LieU'topie is a new cultural and solidarity place, created and animated for and by students, but not only. At the counter you can sip tea or coffee, drink a beer. Café and grocery store, meeting place, shared kitchen with a free washing machine, piano... Tomorrow is invented here, LieU'topie creates social links. The program of activities is varied and allows to explore many themes. It's the perfect place to reflect on the world and to exchange ideas about social and solidarity economy projects. A real third place with evenings around various initiations, like roller derby, culture and gender themes, concerts, conferences... and wifi.

Here is a real landmark for food lovers! The colorful pastries and cookies attract: tarts, cookies, tuiles, muffins: everything is homemade with the common thread of reducing the amount of sugar. What to succumb to the greed without scruples! And who says tea room says tea. Different flavors are offered. Coffee and fruit juice will delight non-tea drinkers. At lunch time, salads and pancakes are made with local products which tend towards organic farming, served on the spot. Behind this pretty address works Pascale Barthélémy. This project is the result of her professional reconversion in pastry making.

Here is a gourmet address to discover on rue Saint-Gènes: the Waffle and Café. On the program, coffee, of course, but not just any coffee, a barista's coffee, served according to the rules of the art, that you can accompany with a Bubble waffle, a concept that came from Hong Kong via the United States, and that Marlène and Gaspard have decided to import to Clermont-Ferrand. Delicious waffles with gourmet bubbles served in a cone with different gourmet toppings (fruits, candies, home-made ice cream...). A pure delight! To vary the pleasures, pastries are prepared on the floor. Everything is homemade and can be taken away or tasted on the spot in this bright and warm café.

Urban Quest is a new concept to discover in Clermont-Ferrand. A mix of treasure hunt, challenges and riddles, the game is a fun and friendly way to (re)discover Clermont-Ferrand's historic center and its emblematic monuments. Tourists and Clermont-Ferranders alike will appreciate the game. Accessible to children aged 10 and over, this is an activity to share with the whole family. Teams are made up of 2 to 5 participants. The game can be privatized if there are more than 4 teams, and teambuilding sessions are available for companies.

Bertrand Guillaume has created it for you! The Brasserie Clermont is first of all a brew pub. The beer of the brewery is proposed to the pressure, with others. Michel Izoulet and his wife have retired and sold the Bar d'O. At the head of the establishment we now find Sylvain Gimel, who has been in charge of the place for 4 years, and the trio of La Table au plafond: Yoann Cadez, Ugo Cadez, Pierre Zamengo. After some work, including the kitchen which is now open, the regulars can rest assured that the institution that is the Bar d'O keeps its proposal: brasserie at noon and in the evening, cheese boards, delicatessen, etc. On Saturday mornings, there will be snacks available, during which the local cuisine will be honored: tripe, coq au vin, stuffed cabbage... to be shared without moderation!

The oldest bar in Clermont-Ferrand, founded in 1877, has remained over the years and through the various managers, an ideal meeting place to spend a nice moment. The authentic establishment, with the air of a Parisian brasserie, has a beautiful sheltered terrace. At noon, the coffee is replaced by formulas and copious plates. What if you took the time to develop your five senses? That's the SENSAS concept. Plunged into the dark, teams of 4 to 15 players move through different rooms. Together, the players must solve enigmas, find codes... All the senses are put on alert to find the solutions. Behind this game lies a genuine message of tolerance and discovery of different modes of communication (Braille, sign language...). For each successful challenge, 10 cents are donated to an association working to combat disability.

Its name refers to that of the ancient city of Clermont, according to Strabo. Facing L'Ostrog, in which Danilo Bakic presents wines from Serbia, Montenegro and elsewhere as well as Auvergne or traditional Serbian specialities, including excellent smoked cheeses, the young man worked like a madman to create a unique, magical place in what was once a shop for dragées and a clothing store! Here his teams serve perfect cocktails, with a smile. In addition to the classic cocktails, the menu offers some fine innovations. The musical atmosphere and decoration have nothing to envy to a nightclub and the terrace adjoins that of L'ostrog! An ideal spot for lively evenings, both inside and out.

In the heart of the city, Aurélie Machado has opened a small haven of peace. In a natural, warm decoration, you can take a break... with a gourmet touch. Green tea with rooibos, hot chocolates with vegetable milk for the winter, homemade lemonade and smoothies for the good weather accompany the homemade pastries, with a majority of organic, local and fair trade products, a minimum of sugar and fat for a maximum of flavour! On Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am, it is possible to have brunch.

Settling down on the waterside terrace, you're ready to enjoy a dish or a pastry... maybe both. Marie-Elizabeth Crozet and Stéphanie Rousselot offer entirely home-cooked cuisine, using mostly local produce. Their specialties? Tourte au saint-nectaire and pâté aux pommes de terre. And, as we're in a tearoom, as the Belle Époque room reminds us, it's the perfect opportunity to discover the pastries: macaroons, strawberry eclairs, blueberry tarts... also all homemade.

Pépé Joe is the perfect place to take a break between runs. You can access the wooden terrace with your skis on. Hungry? The burgers or other quick dishes to prepare will satisfy the hungriest before going back on the skis! The interior allows you to enjoy the warmth when it's cold, but when the weather is good, lunch on the terrace in the sun is a real pleasure. Jazz concerts are sometimes proposed and DJ animations also come to liven up the afternoons. A bistro at the foot of the slopes as we like them!

Bol & Bagel is back! This is doubly good news, as the address is shared with BBC 2. The concept is the same (without the beds), but the menu is more varied. In addition to the classic cereal cocktails (the great return of the P.nut!), you'll be able to vary the pleasures with avocado toast, miniburgers or seasonal salads. The bagels are always there: salmon and cream cheese, four cheeses, or more original, warm goat's cheese, pear and honey. The perfect place for Sunday brunch or an original lunch break.

One-man-show, comedy, stand-up, theater: the Comédie des Volcans is the new meeting place for humor in Clermont-Ferrand. For its first season, the program is rich in headliners and some dates are sold out. We find Guillaume Bats, Andrea Redavid, Eric & Quentin, Tania Dutel, Dedo, Elisabeth Buffet, Laura Calu... and many other names. The plus: the Paris Comedy Club comedy set.
