Sweeteria is a "factory of artisanal sweets" as its owner Cindy likes to call it, recently reconverted in pastry making. In her small cozy nest of about twenty places, completed by a small terrace, she honors her Caribbean-Latino roots. You can enjoy a Brazilian coffee or a Kréyol cocoa, served with a good cookie made with homemade peanut butter and unrefined sugar. At noon, wraps, in limited quantities to avoid waste, are offered. On Saturday mornings, it's time for brunch where different influences are once again mixed: Colombian empanadas, vegetable acras, feijoada, dahl, scrambled eggs and bacon...

As its name indicates, l'Antre de Dionysos is specialized in wine. Lilian Martin's establishment has on one side a bar where it is possible to settle down to taste different appellations. About thirty are proposed by the glass. The cellar side offers more than 500 bottles and accessories, as well as about thirty rums, selected and presented by Lilian Martin, sommelier. If the generous board of local products is not enough, order a meal. Enjoy the food prepared in the second part of Lilian's establishment, the restaurant.

As soon as you enter, the smell of chocolate grazes your nostrils. Homemade pastries adorn the bar behind which Mallorie Bournel is busy. She offers all shades of chocolate. Hot, prepared the old fashioned way, thick and made with great vintages like Elianza, Kayambé or Ivory. It is accompanied with greediness by cakes, cookies, pies or delicious cheesecakes to be tasted in the small cosy lounge or in the "winter garden". Sunday is brunch! Mallorie also offers activities throughout the year: mosaic, painting, writing..

Los Dos Hermanos is a reference: always a great atmosphere, an efficient tapas menu and pitchers of white or red sangria that evaporate too quickly! Those who know it know, you have to come early to get a table and sometimes accept to share one. The room is not so small though. This joyful hubbub is enhanced by a good playlist. On the menu, we find the unavoidable and traditional tortillas, patatas bravas, hams and chorizos, manchego cheese, quesadillas and other croquetas (served by 4, by the piece... a little expensive). This bar operates with a restaurant license, so you have to eat at least one plate of tapas to drink alcohol.

Here is a cosy place to take a break at any time of the day. Corine, the young pastry chef, will delight you with her delicious home-made pastries. Located at the corner of rue des Petits-Gras and rue des Chaussetiers, this wine bar, entirely designed and created by its young owner, also offers a few beers. Six months of intensive work were necessary to redesign this beautiful 80 m² room with its vaulted ceiling made of beautiful stones (even the toilets deserve a visit!). Dimmed lights, modern barrel style furniture, the atmosphere is lounge and relaxed, all the way to the end of the terrace on the pedestrian street. The menu features wines, beers, smoked meats and cheeses from the Balkans, a reference to the owner's origins. All this is immersed in a musical atmosphere that invites you to relax.

It is the only cat bar in the city! In the heart of downtown Clermont-Ferrand, you will find the Addicto'Chats. Behind this space of zenitude and greed are Manon and Valentin. The two young owners are however stolen the show by the adorable cats because we come here above all for the purring therapy! At snack time, the little felines keep you company, lounging at your side between the soft bench and the cozy blankets. Cakes, homemade hot chocolates, everything is there to spend a sweet moment in good company. A little, or big, hunger? For lunch and dinner, the address is also a traditional restaurant with hearty burgers.

A tea room dedicated to the Michelin Man, what could be more natural in Clermont-Ferrand? In a warm and industrial setting, you can enjoy tea, coffee and homemade pastries while admiring the collection dedicated to the famous character (figurines, posters, paintings...) gathered by Christophe, the owner. The menu is more oriented towards Asia: green, blue-green and red teas, Korean or Japanese drinks (fruits macerated in honey, sobacha...), scented milk, but you can also find the more classic hot chocolate and coffee. As for delicacies, we let ourselves be tempted by the Choco Verde, a fondant with green lentils from Puy, chocolate and verbena from Auvergne, among other homemade delights, organic and sometimes gluten-free.

Hidden behind the Jaude 1 shopping centre, a stone's throw from convenient car parks, the Sankito relies on its specialty to stand out: cocktails! With its modern and stylish interior and pleasant terrace, it has all the assets on its side to seduce. On the menu, a whole host of cocktails to get you drunk at parties. We find both the classics, such as mojito, as well as blends to discover with a board or tapas. We appreciate the game of darts installed in a corner, notice to amateurs! Here, you can bring a magnetic card. You feed it with euros and there is nothing left to do but to help yourself to the different taps in the room. At the Délirium, you can find a place (or not) and wait while tasting... a beer. It's a temple of diversity with more than 250 shades of brown, blonde and white beers from all over the world and with sometimes surprising tastes, including 26 beers on draught. The Belgian beers are particularly highlighted and can be drunk around one of the barrels on the ground floor, on the terrace, in front of a game upstairs and accompanied by a burger or poutine (a Quebec dish made of cheese fries and brown sauce) or a plate of cheese or charcuterie.

Rue des Chaussetiers, in the gothic Savaron hotel, high ceilings and vaulted ceilings in Volvic stone house an imposing wooden counter and long, high tables. Managed by salaried employees, but also by volunteers, the establishment offers books and newspapers. It is a precursory place in terms of solidarity and social economy. Both cultural and commercial, since it has a bistro side, the café tends to become a real place of cultural diffusion.

This family-run institution on the central plateau opened its doors in 1895 and became the property of the Thomas family in 1929. Lovers of hot beverages appreciate the shop for its warm welcome, and of course to enjoy an exotic coffee or a rare tea, either in the warmth of the shop or on the lively and sunny terrace of Ballainvilliers. The card provided suggests some products to take home or to make a gift. The explanations tell us more about the different coffees. A nice address, as its name suggests!

When the Empire du Malt opens a bar, it gives Le Brew. It is in a hangar in the Brézet area that Dominique Thomas has installed this establishment. A bar, but not only: the place has a store and a parking lot. You can discover the Californian flavors of Justin Lott's beers: his microbrewery Grizzly has taken up residence here. The brewery can be visited. Other drafts and a wide selection of bottled beers complete the menu. At cocktail hour, charcuterie and cheese are served as well as pizzas and poutines.

Right next door to Restaurant Alfred is the Les Libellules wine bar. The two establishments share the same owner but also a pronounced taste for meticulous decoration. The atmosphere is subdued, the background music perfectly matched and the wine list varied. Cocktails are sipped over a plank or other small nibbles. But it's the concerts and "Apéro Mixes" that make the house afterworks such a success. Not to mention the highly coveted "Apérostreicoles" for Oleron oyster lovers. A little less neglected service and it would be perfect... Attractive terrace away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
