The Auberge des Platanes is a beautiful place on the edge of the Dordogne in front of the Port des gabarres. In this hotel-restaurant , rooms have views on the river or on the Parc. The restaurant area offers a brasserie menu (omelet, salad, prime rib and fish) or a more elaborate menu with traditional dishes: duck foie gras, duck confit, duck breast with Sarlat-style potatoes, Perigord burger and all homemade ice creams with original perfumes such as Suede creme brulee ice cream In the summer, the two terraces one under plane trees and the other overlooking the Parc with a view of the Dordogne are particularly nice to eat or just to take a ice cream or a drink. The restaurant on the first floor offers a stunning view. 

As soon as you push the door of this restaurant, you immediately want to sit in the bright and contemporary dining room or on the large terrace, in the shadow of the pergola, and far from the city's hubbub. The quality decoration rhymes with quality cuisine, and it's the case. On the menu: gizzard salad and duck breast, sweetbreads of veal with ceps, and finally a homemade tiramisu with caramelized pears and speculos. Dishes that can be eaten with a great pleasure. The carte also mixes local with international and the duck breast sauce with porcini mushrooms come without problems with the Chinese wok of gambas and squids.

We like this French-style brewery. An enticing menu and a discovery menu, served lunch and dinner, absolutely correct, with a block of duck foie gras, duck aiguillettes in monbazillac sauce and Sarlat apples, a walnut cake with custard. Homemade pizzas and burgers are delicious and salads are hearty. The private terrace on the first floor is very pleasant.

At Chez Antoine guests come for the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the terrace in summer and the traditional cuisine made from fresh and seasonal ingredients. The à la carte is broad spectrum. Even in family, everyone will find her happiness: tapas, salads, charcuterie plate, fresh or dried pasta, veal cutlets and beef available in Tartar, minced beef or with horse, side or steak. We do not forget the burgers accompanied by homemade chips and salad. The à la carte of the pizzas offers tomato, barbecue or white bases. The toppings are hearty and the dough is perfect. The Leon pizza is a small nod to the last-born of the family... to take away or to be delivered in a radius of 5 km. The evenings of match it is the HQ of all Rugby fans regardless of their age... And when there is no match, a concert is held there once a month. 

The setting of this listed 16th-century building already is already worth the detour with its terrace offering a view of the facade of the Maison de la Boétie. Katia Fournier and Jordy Bordes have opted for a modern decoration while preserving what makes the room so charming: the blond stones, the pasted beams and the fireplace which adds a warm atmosphere. The tablecloth is clear: string-colored placemats placed on the white tablecloths bring modernity. The couple likes welcoming and offer a local cuisine. The idea of a menu that you compose yourself is original. As a starter, the Périgord casserole egg with its foie gras escalope is just delicious. In a dish alongside the traditional confit and duck breast, we like the red label poultry supreme and its mushroom sauce. For dessert, the chocolate fondant rivals the old Souillac's plum baba.
