In 1970 Pierre Shasmoukine invested this forest area to compose, over time, a set of creations on two hectares: 3 courses of works in nature and 8 indoor galleries, which are 600 works of kinetic, unusual surrealist art, naive art, facilities, land-art, humorous conceptual (fixed ideas to put on the mental door provided for this purpose...). Pierre Shasmoukine welcomes visitors in his inspiration, his breathing and his personal creations alongside those of guest artists. The visit time of these plastics follies is unlimited: in summer, you can discover the site in the afternoon, plan to stay on site in the evening on the free picnic area, and fill your eyes at night because the night tour is another magic... You can even stay the night in a guest room. This different world is indescribable, the best is yet to immerse yourself in the heart of this unique place, which, like its creator, seems straight out of a short story by Tolstoï. This geo-concept, ecological before the hour, is a multi-art field. Children, particularly, will find the keys to imaginary world. Over time, the village has deteriorated. With his sister, the artist launched a call to make it a place to stay and exhibition for young artists.

Bibi is Brigitte Coment, a jewelry designer who took part in a particular niche: marriage. Collars, bracelets, earrings, the trimmings are all different and harmonize with all types of dresses, from the most classical to the most imaginative to personalize it. Some collars are very discreet, others more elaborate, everything is nicely realized and with great taste. Bibi also invents accessories such as peaks, sons, bars, hair combs, etc., but also costume jewelry, some belts, and princess shirts for girls. All jewels are made of crystal or Swarovski crystal elements and custom-made. Prices are more than affordable: from 38 to 170 euros for a necklace, from 25 to 70 euros for a bracelet and from 10 to 25 euros for earrings or ear chips. 

Located right in the center of the beautiful village of Domme, this bookshop is like no other. In its 140 m² space, you'll find no fewer than 15,000 books, from the ^16th century to the present day, from Franco-Belgian comics to children's books in all their forms, not forgetting antiquarian or highly specialized books, fantasy literature... Stylish furniture, collectors' items and curiosities sit side by side in an atypical spirit. Originally from the Paris region, owners Didier and Nathalie warmly welcome visitors all year round.

These terraces, nestled among rocks, cliffs and unspoilt nature, offer an exceptional view! Designed by Christophe and Sonia, they are a reminder of Les Eyzies' historic past. You can enjoy the view with your own picnic, composed in the beautiful troglodyte store offering a wide selection of local products, or take advantage of the buvette menu, which features a new selection of bowls (including two vegetarian options), served at all hours during the high season.

In the 70's, Pascal Magis, painter, had already installed his studio in this house. By opening it to the public, he was a pioneer in Meyrals. He died in 2011, and his niece Céline, with the consent of her aunt, decided to take over the studio in the spirit of Pascal, which then became a full-fledged art gallery, where we find of course the works of Magis, but also those of other contemporary artists. A varied selection, a mixture of old paintings where Pascal's painting explodes and comes to meet you and his more recent paintings

If there aren't many bookshops in the Périgord Noir, there's the Maison de la Presse in Montignac, run by a passionate couple for a very long time. Here, you'll find local and national press, as well as foreign publications, to meet the needs of tourists and expatriates. The bookshop side of the business is particularly noteworthy, offering both new publications and local (and children's) books. And if you don't find what you're looking for, it's always possible to place an order and receive it promptly.

A fine team of volunteers run this ecologically-minded facility. Here, objects are given a second chance, even a second life, thanks to recycling workshops where all talents are welcome. Eco-ludic workshops on recycling and "Do It Yourself" are also offered for all ages, including bicycle workshops. The boutique offers a wide choice of objects at reduced prices, from books to furniture, not forgetting clothing. Last but not least, clearance services are available for large-scale home clear-outs.

Editions Padmakara is a pioneer in the translation of Tibetan philosophical and religious texts. It is one of the most renowned translators in the field, and has been sharing these works for many years. Their books range from introductions to Buddhist philosophy and mindfulness mediation, to more complex texts for further study. Many of Mathieu Ricard's books are published by this house.

A second-hand (and new) bookshop, yes, but "Des livres et vous" is a little more than that. A book club, a bookshop-café and a variety of activities extend the reading experience, enabling everyone to embody it in their own way. How do you do it? With art therapy workshops, meetings and book signings (often by local authors, but not only), exhibitions and more. And don't forget the coffee and tea area, where you can immerse yourself in your reading (and take the risk of falling for even more).

Yannick Beaupuis, aka l'ornithorynque périgourdin, is the man behind this approach, which is much more than a laser-cut store. He's a creator of riddles and puzzles (for all levels, including experts) and jewelry, as well as creative paper-cut items and beautiful souvenirs linked to the Périgord region, and a publisher. Yannick is happy to guide and advise you through the beautiful objects he has created.

The L'Orange bleue bookshop created by Frédéric Inizan, a green politician from the Sarladais region who left to travel the world, has become a textile printing store. Taken over by Julie Negrevergne, and more recently by Chloé Lasserre, the store offers a vast selection of "souvenir" textiles, as well as objects such as mugs, key-rings and soft toys. The company offers a personalized printing service on a wide range of materials, for unforgettable events or gifts that stand out from the crowd (bed linen, household linen, toiletries, etc.).

No holiday without reading? Then Jean-Luc Aubarbier and his sister will be helpful in advising you, with a beautiful radius of regional works but also of history and spirituality. Jean-Luc is also a known and recognized author, who has published historical novels and an indispensable visit to the templar sites in France.

In France there are only three manufacturers of "bretelles pianos", one at Tulle, another near Lyon and Accordiola in Sarlat-la-Caneda. And it's the only global manufacturer of carbon fiber accordions. The company that also produces pianos and guitars is open to the public who attends all stages of manufacturing with explanations about the particularities of certain instruments designed here.
