Craft breweries and microbreweries Périgord

Gilles and Etienne de Conti, two cousins from a family of Bergeracese winemakers, manufacture their organic beers in a small building which, as a decoration, has planted two feet of hops. After a lot of commotion around the world, they had the idea of creating their own beer in the wine country. The name Lapépie comes from a local expression: it means that we are thirsty… Brune, blonde or blonde beers are made from natural products: water, organic malt, hops, yeast and sugar. They are fresh with a very mild bitterness and easily marry with all the dishes.

Established since 2016 in the small village of Coly, this microbrewery has what it takes to seduce fans of hopped bubbles. From the great classics to "craft beers" made from more traditional raw materials, not forgetting fruity beers ideal for summer aperitifs, Chavagn' excels. Perhaps it's because the brewers use pure water from the Coly stream to make their beverages? Come and discover these specialities at the boutique, open all year round, or at local markets.

The founders of the Brasserie Artisanale Bio La Nòvé wanted to create a local organic artisanal brewery, which is the human alchemy. It was born in September 2019, constituted as a SCOP. It is part of the Social and Solidarity Economy and therefore has a dual economic and social project. It is on a former military site called ESCAT that the Brasserie La Nòvé has come to lay its bottles and malt. This site is atypical, the vestige of a disappeared Perigord industry.

Make no mistake: "Ailleurs-la-gnac" is not a village in Périgord Noir, but an excellent beer brewed by a micro-brewery in Rouffignac. Sold at local markets as far afield as Périgueux, it's a great incentive to prepare locavore aperitifs (and bring back authentic sparkling souvenirs - there's something for everyone).
