This small restaurant moored on the Dronne is more a bistro for Sunday fishermen throwing the line in the quiet river than a chic and convenient restaurant.

Jérôme Feletin is both the boss of La Maison and the chef. He welcomes customers in a very original and well thought-out setting. Son of an auctioneer, he has collected objects that constitute a very personal collection. The flowered garden is a small haven of peace and the terrace is particularly pleasant. You feel good inside and outside and even better when the dishes prepared with subtlety and efficiency arrive: sea bream ceviche, homemade tarama, cod eggs and crab, truffle pasta, snails with Maroilles and sweet garlic, but also vegetarian and vegan dishes. We have come a long way for his fabulous, melting and tasty beef prime rib. The carte changes regularly. Wine by the glass at very affordable prices. The wines are mainly bought from a wine store at Les Eyzies. You can sleep on site in one of the five beautifully decorated guest rooms, located just next to the restaurant.

In the heart of the forest of the Double, on the natural site of the Large Pond of Jemaye, the restaurant “Le Bistrot” is located at the edge of the pond in a natural setting and magic. The spacious dining room with glass doors offers a beautiful view of the pond and the panoramic terrace. On the menu- rather short dishes typical of the Périgord including a dish of hearty duck tasting or whole duck. The salads Bistro are well furnished and desserts, even if they are not homemade, are very decent. 

At the foot of the old town and on the banks of the Vézère, a stone's throw from the town hall, this friendly bar offers a brasserie service for lunch and a tea room, ice creams and pastries in the afternoon. For the cuisine, Maud Laumond offers dishes, pies of the day with salad, croque-monsieur, omelettes. Everything is homemade. It is fresh and of very good value for money.

Food & Co is open all year round with a lunch service and a formula with a dish and dessert. The chef cooks meat, fish and desserts. In the evening, it's à la carte. There are salads, Périgord specialities, but also burgers, bruschettas, pasta. A good place to recharge your batteries before leaving to discover the city and its surroundings.

In the heart of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, one of France's most beautiful villages, Lou Camillou is a gourmet stop well worth a visit. This welcoming address showcases the authentic flavours of Périgord through its generous burgers, made with artisanal multigrain bread and quality local produce. The charm also works on the terrace, under the foliage of a century-old plane and mulberry tree, where you can enjoy these delicacies with attentive service. Just a stone's throw from the famous Lascaux caves, Lou Camillou will delight gourmets in a bucolic setting full of character.

Nora and Rémy Morichon held a restaurant in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche before settling in Villars in this establishment, which houses a restaurant, grocery store, bread, local newspapers sale, tobacco, and La Française des Jeux. The cuisine is family and traditional: foie gras cooked with puff pastry and roasted apples, duck breast with purée honey sauce, lamb shank and vegetables, monkfish medallion and rice, but also pizzas (we recommend the Villarsaine with duck breast, gizzard, cheese, mushrooms , black olives, etc. and a spicy homemade sauce). The restaurant is spacious and the terrace is very pleasant. 

It is one of those temples of Asian cuisine, the decoration shows it without showing off too much, with a central chandelier in a grand century glass style and a clear wall tonality, with quiet corners and large tables behind the bay windows... and you don't smell the cuisine ten meters away when you leave it! The staff is friendly, the products are super fresh and appetizing, and the address says "no" to waste for those who may confuse an all-you-can-eat buffet with anything big. The buffet is indeed immense, with a wide choice of cold and hot starters, fish and shellfish dishes, meat skewers, etc. The wok counter is very professional, with several sauces to choose from to transform the pan you have composed. Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese specialties, but also Japanese dishes (sushi, of course) and seafood form a beautiful set, you should just think about keeping a small room for the many kinds of desserts… and the assortment of candies, which does not only tempt children.

The whole team invites you to come and have a good stroll around a prolific buffet, in a sign that has been able to extract itself from the mass of the shopping centre to settle down at the end of the car park, near the road and the bus stop, in a new and luminous construction that is really pleasant, in refreshing furnishing tones with quiet corners, large tables or "high perched" formulas with stools, and a play area for the little ones. Children love the birthday snack formula that can bring them together. Not surprisingly, there are cafeteria-style services and dishes, with meats (beef and chicken) bearing the France label, and a special dessert counter for the most tempting of desserts. You can simply take a salad break, or coffee/dessert, or breakfast... at your own time of the day. Not forgetting a takeaway formula and even a catering option. Everything is impeccable and efficient.
