ABOU TAREK
Read moreThe house of the koshari in Cairo where one comes almost as a pilgrim. Amusing mention on the front: " We have no other branches " (we have no other addresses)... The place thus marks its unique character, conscious of its success in the capital. This three-storey building is not often empty. Every nook and cranny has a photo of Abu Tarek, the creator of this institution. Many young couples and groups of Egyptian friends and families can be seen there. The atmosphere is very friendly and the service very satisfactory.

OMAR
Read moreThe dozens of colourful lanterns that adorn the ceiling seem to be inviting us and give a real charm to the restaurant. Turkish cuisine is correct and served generously. Here we serve the kiremit (meat in a pot in the oven, the tradition of Cappadocia). Some international dishes such as pizza, pasta or vegetarian dishes. You can eat on the terrace, under the lanterns or on the top floor where you can admire a beautiful view of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. How to plan a romantic dinner at sunset!

FARFALLA CAFFE
Read moreItaly is fashionable and the farfalle make a mess! This address "to the taste of the day" shows beautiful assets to seduce us. First of all, we are attracted by its terrace on the shaded sidewalk of a charming avenue. But you should not miss the particularly successful garden of the main room - woody notes, bright touches of orange, ice, flat screen broadcasting fashion shows, butterflies in pasta… - and the more intimate mezzanine. Another success, the plate. The salads are generous, the pasta is really good with their sauce, the tasty gnocchis, the lasagna as it should be, the tartar with its little potatoes well seasoned, the well-stuffed pizzas and the maison house are simply eat. A place that has managed to capture the spirit of the neighborhood well.
1. 2. 3.
Read moreThis year again, and for the ninth consecutive year, 1.2.3. may show that it is recommended by Petit Smart. The following question for our readers: why recommend this address rather than the many others that populate this plot? First, like the others, because it benefits from a unique situation in the heart of Old Lyon, the Renaissance district classified as world heritage by UNESCO and that the charm of this place, as well as its natural freshness (even in summer), makes it a unique establishment of its kind. Then, because the reception is cordial, the friendly atmosphere, and that you don't jump over, as happens elsewhere… by appâtant with promises that will not be kept. It is therefore set on the terrace, with a mandatory red and white tile, or in a room that takes on all the traditional cap codes. Please note that the restaurant's brand name is a épis of wheat, as it could be made available to the riders. Side card, we keep the best of lyon specialities: Lyon salad, brains of canut apples, andouillette mustard sauce, sapper apron, Forest sauce Nantua and half saint Marcellin finish. A pot of coast or morgon and happiness is complete. 1.2.3. , an address you can count on.
ONCLE DIK
Read moreA bridge between the Armenian and Mediterranean cuisines in a New York decor, original not? Pleasant terrace, stones apparent to the lights "color keys", from the mezzanine to the superb toilets, no taste of taste at this Uncle Dik. Then there is the homage of an Armenian to his grandfather, Dikran, that one can see a cart on a moving black and white photo. Welcome is adorable and efficient service. But this beauty does not mask the quality of the kitchen. On the contrary, it emphasizes it! The wood oven pizza that can be taken to the avalanche avalanche is eaten. Coeur with couteau, dont mullet fillets on a crispy pancake and roasted chops parfaitement. The desserts are remarkable and the chocolate quenelles of good taste. Beautiful homage to the roots.

WOKO
Read moreOn the esplanade of the Terraces, among the catering offers, Woko stands out by offering us a pleasant trip to Vietnam and Asian cuisine to the Wok. A trendy, healthy and tasty cuisine that allows us to eat in the right timing, whether one is a busy worker or between two shopping sessions at the mall. In a contemporary, soothing setting, economic formulae are available quickly, and many possibilities of varying pleasures. Before you settle, you will get to the counter - open kitchen, nothing is hidden - where you are received with the smile and all the necessary explanations. One chooses a menu, the size of its bowl, normal or XL, then "mixing" its dish with authentic family Asian recipes: Vietnamese noodles, Thai pasta, canto rice… and grills of our choice with pickled meat: Saté chicken, sesame beef, pork to 5 fragrances, paprika shrimp, poisson fish, green lemon or tofu for vegetarians. All you have to do is choose from the entrances, with fresh rolls, and desserts, like these banana nems, to get to table! Regularly, a country is put forward on the map and its recipes complement the offer of dishes. Woko is also installed in Vaise, near the Pathé cinema, and at the Confluence shopping center. There is even a delivery service in the west of Lyon! All Lyon can therefore have the Woko attitude.

COMPTOIR JAYET
Read moreClose to Jean Macé station, on a quiet street, the Counter Jayet offers an invitation to take its time to enjoy the beautiful inner terrace, sheltered from any agitation. The room is not bad either, with its nice counter where one likes to linger, and the kitchen has nothing to hide. Little caveat on the day of our visit, a little overloaded service - yet we were not many - and a charming young girl between the kitchen, the room and the terrace. The card is season, with a formula of the day served midday and evening - it is rare - and fresh quality products cooked home by a passionate chef. On the day's menu this summer a little too hot, a Tatin of tomatoes in balsamic vinegar, mozzarella, little provençal stuffed, to finish with a burnt cream with a scent of lavender. It's cool and it's good! The Counter also offers gourmet suggestions: sweet salad in duck fatty liver, smoked magret, gizzard conflict and mesclun to walnut oil, charolais beef tartar, fresh fries or a unravelled of raie line à to the shallot. A neighborhood address that deserves the move.
LA SALLE À MANGER
Read moreEating and much more than eating, this is what this dining room created by the Auteuil Apprentices. Its primary goal is not to make you eat, but to train the young people from 16 to 25 years of age in school, social or family difficulties. Framed by real professionals, in real situations, these young people will integrate all the good gestures and know-how in kitchen and room to be used quickly after their training. Eating at the Dining Room is therefore also an act of solidarity to help young people train under the best conditions. The restaurant, located on the Cours Charlemagne between Perrache and Confluence, offers a pleasant setting. Short card for a careful traditional cuisine made by young people anxious to do well. Economic midi formula with services, beautiful surprises and classics such as this Lyon salad or andouillette to Beaujolaise. Desserts, especially pastries, particularly successful. Service applied and ultimately more pleasant than in many restaurants. The Dining Room also offers a gourmet dining table with much more than a solidarity gesture. Address advised.
MRS WYNN
Read moreCan Asian rhyme with chic? Answer given by Mrs Wymm, alias Sylvie Huynh: yes, of course! This address in the very central and very required Rue du Palais-Grillet shows how much Asian cuisine is capable of "fusion" while preserving its traditional soul. It is always a happiness to sit in terrace in this quiet street of the city centre, but even more at Mrs Wynn where the reception shows great kindness. Service with wide opening hours to start at the afterwork (specialty of Wednesday at Mrs Wynn's) with an aperitif accompanied by Asian tapas - very wide menu with bouchées vapeur, spring rolls, sushis, chicken skewers with lemon grass or a delicious beef & chips with Thai herbs - and to finish after midnight by listening to good sound. In dining room, soothng deco rwearing red to enjoy the cuiisine of a chef, Patrick Ramsany, who has remained at the helm of Key Largo in Saint-Tropez for 17 years. Very beautiful dishes, tasty, to travel between Asian countries and to go back to France: foie gras terrine with Asian spices, Thai pepper chutney, lobster ceviche or a banh-cuon revisited with duck to get started. Coming up next, a delicious wok with prawns seasoned with garlic and black pepper, a sea bass in banana leave to be discovered with a beautiful gourmet curiosity, an astonishing Thai bouillabaisse with seafood, a Black Angus beef fillet with Thai sauce or a bo bun. Fine choice of very successful sushis. Apple ginger tarte tatin or chocolate nems and spicy caramel sauce to finish on a sweet note. A destination full of gourmet attractions.
MAISON MARCELLE
Read moreWith an ensign with "popular" sounds, some feel bad the House Marcelle in the heart of the very select 6 th arrondissement. And yet, this is where the bar-restaurant, where you're so comfortable at the time of coffee-growing, is at the moment. The House Marcelle is a real district bar with its large counter where you can chat by sharing in evening a gourmet dish and a good glass of wine. It should be said that the bottles are carefully selected and that they are displayed with different containers on a large slate that are devours. The bar is one thing and the boss's case, Jean-Luc Sibeud. With a high quality chef, everything is home. In a charming setting, a blend of nostalgia and avant-garde (we speak of lights), we come to midday with a formula of the day at a price that is challenging competition in the neighborhood. You need to look at the evenings where the cool frogs accompany a succulent pick before going to a Norwegian omelet. True gourmet and generous cuisine, as Lyon mothers once did. And of course, a consistent wine map to accompany everything. A Maison Marcelle that appears as one of the best addresses of the 6 th.
LE MARSEILLAIS
Read moreOn the Rive-Neuve side of the Old Port, this restaurant has existed for many years and is a good example of what the restaurant offer was like a few years ago. Too high prices, a menu that is far too extensive. Only the service is smiling and, we want to say, still happy. The emblematic dishes of Marseille and Provence are on the menu. But what can we say about the mussels and fries which are far too expensive or the vegetarian plate which consists of grilled vegetables for a high price. It's time to rethink the menu.

BRASSERIE LE DANDY
Read moreFuté congratulates Le Dandy for having managed to impose its style in a central neighbourhood, right next to Palais du Commerce, and yet it's not that easy to highlight. Le Dandy's asset is first of all the welcome and the perfect service. Wide opening hours, but mostly great smiles and a real passion of the welcome team which may even touch an expert accountant. There is always room in this great Dandy, on the terrace or in the room that hides some secrets (especially during lively evenings), which has managed to update a carefully crafted brasserie menu. This summer, salads (Caesar, Gourmande, Perigordine, Pêcheur…) have had our preference, but the eggs in Burgundy red wine sauce can delight us in any season. A rather short menu for a brasserie, but guarantees the quality of the dishes: Dandy Burger, pan-fried beef filet with morel sauce, a whole fish of the day roasted with virgin olive oil, a fisherman's risotto, Lyon specialities like an andouillette gratin served with her gratin Dauphinois or a calf's liver seasoned with parsley. Fresh fruit salad, a delicious gourmet coffee and homemade ice-cream. Interesting wine list. Meal, drink, afterwork and even evening party, Le Dandy won the bet and is part of the gourmet countryside landscape.
WHAT'S THAT FOOD
Read moreIn Lyon, selling burgers is like selling quenelles, it's super competitive! Not a district, not a street where a restaurant does not proclaim itself the specialist in this contemporary form of restoration. What's That Food, WTF for the intimate - and because it's faster and more fun (yes, one can confuse with What the fuck? that one could translate "what is this Mess? ") -has the advantage of some experience since he previously looked after bagels (nothing to see with the burgers, but WTF still offers a range of bagels) under another sign but at the same location. The location, this is the highlight of this address, which has the good taste to be at the crossroad of the hospitals (Grange Blanche, Léon Bérard among others), faculties (medicine, pharmacy among others) and courtesy Place (Light Museum among others). For the rest, you must be able to face a queue worthy of this name at lunch time (to believe they are alone in the neighborhood) to enjoy a still good bagel or burgers that left us on our hunger. 5 bagels, 5 burgers, but fresh products (even homemade breads) and local (the market is right next door) is better expressed in the first than in a "Fromagez-vous" which has not packed us at the opening. A board, go instead to creations of other flavours, like this " @ Canon". Bonus point for attention to respect for the environment and recycling. In the end, and without great competition at the moment in the Monplaisir district, WTF is very much worth recommending by the Smart.

TAKUMI
Read moreThe Ainay area offers the finest surprises and best culinary travels. In Rhône, just steps from Rue de la Charité, here is a novelty which takes us to the opposite, since Takumi is a genuine Japanese restaurant in "dim bar" version. Small summer terrace on the street, but especially a room which is both sober and warm. A counter with a few chairs for those in a hurry and a room in the mezzanine to relax and enjoy the kind welcome and service. Even the "novices" of ramen (Japanese pasta served in seasoned and seasoned and garnished broth) will soon become unconditional regulars of Takumi. What are the reasons? The quality of the reception and service, as we've said, but also the quality of the dishes elaborated with quality ingredients. Homemade cuisine made at the moment, full of freshness and flavours, in "bowl plate" which are both beautiful and delicious. The ramen are complete and comes in a "simple" version (pork slice, soy shoots, bamboo heart, young onion, algae), in "Tempura" version with shrimps, Chashu with eggs, Bollywood with eggs, Bollywood with curry or Vegetarian. Other dishes on the menu, chicken curry and rice or a Gyu-Don, chopped beef with onions, which are also delicious. Wonderful Tiramisu with green tea to finish and a beer or Japanese lemonade as accompaniment. A new sweet destination.
