After a few sips of divine local wines from the Malepère, Corbières, Fitou or Minervois appellations, you'll feel the urge to nibble, and you'll be spoilt for choice from the tapas menu on offer. We bet you'll stay for lunch or dinner, and rightly so!

The new place with rather innovative concept in the city centre of Montpellier... no worm in this forbidden fruit with thousand delicacies, but many glasses of wine to enjoy, which will fulfill your temptation, in large cosy club sofas and a chic decoration. A new generation of "wine bar", created for the first time in Grenoble and which gives rise to its little brother on the side of Montpellier. An atypical place that looks like an apartment where lounge, dining room and kitchen space have pride of place and as a centerpiece of the house, the tasting space in self-service! With a magnetic card credited beforehand, you serve yourself your glass of wine and the quantity you want. The discrete and friendly staff will be there to welcome you, help you in your choices if you wish and serve you some tapas dishes to sponge a little your thirst of epicurian champagne, beers and wine from here and elsewhere. You should try, without moderation!

In the heart of the village, at the foot of a stone building, we discover this charming address with a warm atmosphere and a well cared decoration. Under the vaults, the welcome is friendly. One comes to settle down to share a bottle of wine on a high table, to shop at the wine merchant's to take advantage of this local business, but also to enjoy a convivial evening. We nibble on a plate of cold cuts, cheeses or a vegetarian option. We garnish a few slices of bread with spreads and we melt over a dessert in a glass.

Felix, a nice man and a jovial fellow. With his wide terrace with tables covered in red and white gingham tableclothes, his big blackboards on which we never know what to choose, his high wooden stools, inside, the messy decoration but so well done and his menu. The menu is full of good things to eat or to drink, his delicious cocktails, his tasty wines but not expensive and the kindness of the waiters, really, Felix is a very friendly guy!

A few steps from the tourist office, this end of the street awakens when the first begins to fall asleep. On the pleasant terrace, there is a rich clientele with an appointment from the beginning of the evening. And for the reason, the place is aréable and the music excellent. The bar is on the right, you will turn on the left for tapas, as for wines, you only have to move a little, they are basically! You t easily where our eyes and ears settle… Two small glasses of Minervois and some tapas further, we rejoice our choice. A place that brings together both the young people of the Worldwide Festival and the native sétois, or the pt'its couples who love everything that goes on there. Take a look, you won't be disappointed.

Wine bar, tapas and restaurant. This is Laroque des Albères' new Swiss Army knife. A beautiful elevated outdoor terrace, and a harmony of metal and wood in the two rooms: downstairs eating areas and a beautiful dining room upstairs with its starry sky (the lighting fixtures). On the menu, it's mar i munt: tapas from the sea or the mountains. The products are meticulous and tasty, and the wines to accompany them come from small, carefully selected estates. Boris, the manager, has just handed over the keys to his two partners, who are continuing the work in the same spirit.

At the corner of the famous Place du Pouffre, here is a cheerful address that is easily noticed by its blue front. One comes gladly at the end of the day, at the time of the aperitif, to benefit from a moment between friends on the terrace. The team advises you to choose a good bottle of natural wine that you will accompany with a board of cold cuts and cheeses, with some tapas. The welcome and the service are pleasant, the wine list is well supplied with small natural nuggets. One thus benefits from a soft and cordial moment.

In a charming cobbled street, under a garland of lights, a pretty terrace lined with olive trees attracts us. Then we settle down in this friendly atmosphere to relax around a table that is filled with tasty local products. In the glasses, we toast with carefully selected local wines. We share a board generously garnished with cold cuts and cheeses, we crunch in some toast, we enjoy a live concert or a karaoke night. The welcome is very pleasant, just like this high quality aperitif.

The place is intimate, very cosy and minimalist, a bit like the owners, and above all what you find on the plate and in the glass: fresh and local high quality! The emphasis is on the origin and quality of the products. Everything is fine and delicious, charming and original. The ideal place to enjoy a good glass of wine with some crazy tapas on a quiet terrace.

Chez Mémé has become the must-see tavern in Castelnou. We don't know if it's a restaurant, a wine bar or a tapas bar, but one thing is for sure, the place and the atmosphere have a "let's go back there quickly" feel. An address that we liked to taste in the dining room or on the large terrace craft beers or local wines with friends. In this small, typical family house, Emeline offers various Catalan dishes: pan con tomate with Serrano ham, her famous patatas bravas or the unmissable Cerdanya cheeses.

Hadrian has taken over the Canard Bleu, the Carcassonne epicurean and aesthete's den, set up a few years ago by the traveler chef Robert Haumont. Since then, the place has been called the aptly named Tasting Room, to get away from the crowds of the city center. Don't talk to him about his famous American origins because our international wine merchant likes to remain discreet. He prefers to emphasize his Italian side, which he has well represented in his cellar with wines that make you travel. You can also find local wines and "fatto in Italia" pizzas.

L'Apothicaire is the ideal place to spend a good evening with friends, to taste delicious wines, to feast on aperitif boards made of fine charcuteries or rare cheeses and to learn a lot of things about the world of good food. Fred, the owner, is not shy and likes to talk about his products and tell you anecdotes. He defines himself as a "taste buds dresser". On the terrace and in the calm of the pedestrian street or in one of the two rooms with their refined decoration which brilliantly combine old and modern, we simply love it!

In the heart of the city, on the Place de la République, Le Vin Te Deux is ideally located under the arcades. Meet friends and share their delicious homemade tapas. Taste with them the local wines, blanquettes or local specialties. Discover the organic Crème Religieuse with mint, lemon or tangerine, made with wine alcohol and real peel. A must to add to your cocktails a touch of the Limoux region. A very popular place, it is better to reserve, especially for the wine and music evenings.

At once an art gallery, a wine bar and a wine cellar, Chez Syl Vins surprises and enchants. More than 500 references of wines, 100 of which are natural and living wines. "I like wine without make-up", Sylvain confides to us, "I am a wine merchant but my past as a master sommelier catches up with me, I am always looking for what is rare". We discovered some delicious small vintages, accompanied by local cheeses and charcuterie. Listening to this kind, tender and modest man comment on a tasting, guiding your taste buds and your senses is pure happiness. We love it!

A small quality address, the Hoppy Gallery can become both your local wine shop that distills advice as well as passion, and your meeting point to discover beautiful brewery and wine nuggets. Inside, we discover a large choice of craft beers, beautiful bottles installed under vaults and tables that offer us the opportunity to settle down. We then sip a glass while sharing a small aperitif board in a friendly atmosphere. We can also be tempted by the spirits.

Avenue des Vacances: the address is already a good omen. In its pretty little modern and cosy room, L'Aviateur offers tapas, pizzas, wine and cocktails. The welcome is warm, the atmosphere pleasant to come for two, with friends or family, you feel good. We start with some patatas bravas, pan con tomate, some mussels with escabeche and a bottle of wine while waiting for the pizza. The dough is thin, the toppings tasty, the whole thing is generous, cooked on a wood fire. Vegetarian options are also on the menu.

The Wine Lodge, as its name suggests, is a friendly wine bar. It's a place where people come to elbow each other to discover fine wines accompanied by tapas (charcuterie and cheese platters, tapenade, sardine rillettes, hummus, patatas bravas...) and bruschettas; but also for lunch, where you'll find excellent meal platters: chicken basquaise, rice and salad; pork chop with forestry sauce and sautéed potatoes; breaded chicken cutlet and pasta... It's simple but perfectly executed, making it an ideal daily canteen!
