Whether it be Pro B matches played by the JAV Clermont Métropole Basket, boxing galas, the prestigious All Star Perche meeting, or major judo, karate, wrestling or petanque competitions, there is always something going on in one of the eleven halls of this almost historic infrastructure. Many children and adults also come regularly to train in various disciplines (see the City of Clermont-Ferrand website for activities and registration information). With more than 4,500 seats and 20,000 square meters of floor space, it is even possible to replace sweat and competition with music during concerts.

This sports complex dedicated to athletics was inaugurated in 2002. It hosts departmental, regional and national competitions. Several French indoor track and field championships have allowed the best athletes to compete on the eight lanes of the 60-meter track and on the vault. Among them, Olympic pole vault gold medalist Renaud Lavillenie, crowned French champion in 2016 in the hall that can seat up to 2,700 people. This is also where the Clermont Auvergne Athletics Club trains for competitions. Gymnastics and fencing events, conferences and training in the field of sports are also held here.

While the children play in the ball pool, on the trampolines, share a game on the mini football pitch, go down the slides..., the parents spend a real moment of relaxation in the well-being area. The spa area is composed of a sauna, a hammam, a Jacuzzi and a whirlpool. It is also possible to enjoy the services of the beauticians. This is an establishment where all members of the family can go and find an activity that suits them.

For more than a decade, the Arténium has been the heart of activity for four disciplines. Pong players, judokas, karatekas and wrestlers have made it their headquarters. These sportsmen train there and during the weekends, they organize their competitions from departmental to national level. The sports complex can accommodate up to 1,700 people. The space is modular and can even be divided into three. Open also to the schools of the Clermont-Ferrand area, schools, colleges and high schools, to sports for people with disabilities, to training courses for athletes, judges and referees, this infrastructure is without equivalent in France. It is located a few kilometers from Clermont.

Founded in 1905 by students from the Lycée Blaise Pascal who wanted to play rugby, the Stade Clermontois is the oldest sports club in the city. Since then, it has united all sporting disciplines under a single banner. The club values both amateur and professional athletes. Today, it brings together more than 20 disciplines (sections or independent associations): archery, athletics, basketball, boxing, fencing, gymnastics, weightlifting, handball, judo, karate, wrestling, swimming, pétanque, rugby, tennis, table tennis and volleyball.

In the north of Clermont-Ferrand, the André-Autun gymnasium is home to the Stade Clermontois handball, founded in 1973. It is one of the best known clubs for its women's section. The two men's and women's teams play in the pre-national championship, after having played for a long time in the higher levels. The stadium also hosts the Neyrat Basket association, a very dynamic club created in 1992. Finally, the futsal championships take place in this municipal facility. Rugby, soccer and cross-country: these are the three disciplines at the origin of the Michelin Sports Association (which later became AS Montferrand), which was intended for its employees. These three letters, founded by Marcel Michelin a little more than a century ago, have now been joined by omnisports. Because the wish of the man who bequeathed his name to the stadium was to offer access to sport to "all", at all ages and for as long as possible. Today, fifteen sports sections exist and bring together more than 5,000 members. In addition to rugby, soccer and athletics, there is judo, handisport, wrestling, multisports, tennis, kendo, boxing, gymnastics, swimming, basketball, physical education and weightlifting.
