Honey and jam producers Alpes

On the road to Saint-Amour, a stop is required in this beautiful wooden chalet where we are offered to sell, and to tasting above all, the good honey of the Queyras. It should be said that honey is the speciality of the Allaix family for four generations. The bees who drink the flowers of our mountains offer us honey with incomparable taste and flavours, while pollen and royal jelly revive us for the winter. Christiane has become a beekeeper and harvester, by passion, on the heights of Colmar-les-Alpes. It is better to call her to be sure to find her. On the spot you will have the choice between a sweet mountain honey with floral and fruity flavours, and a lavender honey, one of the jewels in the crown of the range produced on this territory, known for its power and its bouquet. Both are harvested in the hives of the valley, and are a testimony to the richness of a preserved environment.

The good news is that you can now taste the fruit of their labor - delicious honey - by dropping in at the small Rucher de Saint-Eustache store, located on the family farm beside the road leading from the heart of the Bauges massif to Annecy. In addition to jars of traditional honey (it's really good!), you can treat yourself to homemade gingerbread made with 50% honey, succulent honey lollipops, or pollen depending on the season.

Le Rucher de la Combe de Savoie is a family-run beekeeping operation based in Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny, in the Combe de Savoie region at the foot of the Bauges massif, between Chambéry and Albertville. In its honey house, the farm produces a variety of honeys with authentic, pure flavors, as well as GRF-certified royal jelly (Gelée royale française), fresh pollen and honey cakes. The farm also specializes in queen rearing.

Les Gaillardises de l'Ubaye is a delicatessen located on the Place de l'église in Uvernet-Fours BAYASSE. They offer a range of gourmet products based around jam, such as energy bars, syrups and tasting boxes. The jams are made by Béatrice Bellon, Master Jam Maker in Ubaye, and are renowned for their incomparable taste. Among the flavors on offer are Strawberry Coconut Lime Jam and Morello Cherry Elderflower, which won a silver medal in the vegetable jam competition. For lovers of jams and delicacies, this place is a real paradise.
