Getting around by train Alpes

A station in the heart of the Alps that provides an easy link between the major regional cities - Lyon, Valence, Annecy, Grenoble... -Paris by TGV in 2 hours and 52 minutes and the numerous resorts in Savoie. Note that the region's buses leave from in front of the Chambéry post office. Services in the station with bike station, car rental companies to go to the summits, car sharing with Citiz, cabs, bus line and bus station (Parc du Verney) nearby.

A modern and bright station for a beautiful arrival in the center of Annecy. Annecy is served by an average of 5 direct TGV trains (and many others with connections) and is only 3 hours and 42 minutes from the capital from the Gare de Lyon. The train is therefore a fast, comfortable and eco-responsible solution to connect Annecy to Paris. There is a bus station at the exit of the train station to get on a bus that goes to the station. If you want to visit or stay in Annecy, we advise you to rent a bike or to use public transportation.

It is certainly not the biggest train station in France, nor the most central (a bit far from the city center) but it is the one that will allow you to reach many exceptional sites in the Hautes-Alpes. If many connections are made by bus TER, the station of Gap also serves that of Briançon, convenient to reach the domain of Serre-Chevalier Valley. A TER train connects with the Marseille Saint-Charles station for access from the south. Regional buses are waiting right in front of the station to take you to other destinations in the Hautes-Alpes.
