Arcomps is located 12 km east of Châtelet. The municipality is the homeland of Roger Duprat, a boiler and sculptor who died in 1981. He is known in Arcomps because he carved the Marianne present in the city hall. He modeled one of Mr. Goin's daughters, former mayor of Arcomps. He is also known for his tractors' creations until the mid -1960 s: bonnets, wings, calanders and dashboards. The castle of La Touratte can also be seen in Arcomps.
