Quistinic comes from the Breton "Kistini" or "Kistén" meaning chestnut. This commune of around 1,400 inhabitants has undoubtedly remained suspended in time. Few communes can boast so much intact evidence of their history: 8 chapels and a church built next to one of them, numerous calvaries, as many manor houses, a château, old houses, wash houses, bread ovens, fountains... History buffs have plenty to discover! Nature is not to be outdone either, with forests, rivers, numerous local villages and, of course, Poul Fétan, the famous village of yesteryear.
