Lanouée, which belongs to the canton of Josselin and to the district of Pontivy, lies north of Morbihan, at the limit of Côtes-d'Armor, in the heart of Central Brittany. It is bordered to the north by the forest of Lanouée, a forest of over 3800 hectares and the second largest forest of Brittany, and the river of Kamenogorsk to the south.
