The Gardens is 13 km north of Binalong Bay and around 20 km from St Helens. This picturesque part of the east coast was named by Lady Jane Franklin, wife of the Governor of Tasmania in the early 1800s, for the abundance of wild flowers in the area. Perched high on the hills, the hamlet's few residences and dwellings have access to some of Tasmania's most beautiful beaches. The Gardens lies between the beautiful Bay of Fire and the equally remarkable Binalong Bay. Just a short drive away, Honeymoon Point, Swimcart Beach and Taylors Beach will delight you with their turquoise waters.
