Only 20 minutes away from the Iguazú Falls, Puerto Libertad is an alternative base to Puerto Iguazú if you want to escape mass tourism and get back to nature. With a population of about 6,700 inhabitants, the city itself does not have any particular attractions but it is located near rivers and the Urugua-í lake which offer nice walks or kayak rides. The inhabitants are warm and one is well received by this city in full expansion. Several hotels are scattered around the city center but prefer the more intimate off-center accommodations on the waterfront that will allow you to totally disconnect.
