About 70 kilometers northwest of Todos Santos, near the Mexican border, this municipality is located in an area of subtropical dry forest where various species of broad-leafed trees abound, such as mahogany, cedar, pine, or cheese tree. Nentón is especially known nationally for its proximity to two beautiful natural sites: the Cenotes de Candelaria and El Cimarrón. There are also several colorful rivers of rare beauty, such as the Lagartero River, the Brava Lagoon and the Chaculá Lagoon, among others. To get there, ask in Huehuetenango, as the places are not very touristy
