A land of outdoor sports in summer and winter. The small Klopeiner See lake gives its name to the region. It is one of seven lakes in Carinthia offering a wide range of seaside activities. The main lakeside town, Sankt Kanzian am Klopeiner See, boasts a good tourist infrastructure: tourist office, hotel and quality restaurants... The Petzen ski area, with its 16.8 km of slopes, is ideal for skiing, and cross-country trails can be found around the Pirkdorfer See lake.
