Travel Guide Borgo San Lorenzo

Borgo San Lorenzo (population 18,200) is located on the SP551, about 40 km north-east of Florence, at the foot of the Apennines, on the plain between the Lago di Bilancino and Vicchio (Mugello basin). The town is less than 10 km from the Mugello circuit, on the outskirts of the municipality of Scarperia. This circuit is well known to motor sport enthusiasts. It is not only (and among other things) the test track for the Ferrari F1 team but also the place where the Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix has been held since 1994, in May. In 2020, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the circuit hosted the Tuscan Grand Prix.
