An ancient Etruscan city, Fiesole overlooks Florence and offers panoramic views of the Arno valley and the Tuscan hills. Easily accessible by public transport or tourist bus from the center of Florence, the town boasts a beautiful cloister and patrician villas whose gardens are open to the public. Pleasant walks start from the central square, just follow the signs. On the second Sunday of the month (except July and August), the antique market is held in the courtyard of the former seminary in via San Francesco. At the tourist office, you can buy a combined ticket for the archaeological museum and the Bandini museum for €12.
