On the shores of Lake Golovița, this town of 3,700 souls, founded by the Lipovens, is dedicated to fishing. The Lipovens are still numerous, and you'll see many of their typical houses, very picturesque with their white walls, blue woodwork and thatched roofs. From the port, you can reach Gura Portiței (3 boats a day, round trip €28), a narrow strip of land between the sea and Lake Golovița.
