On the outskirts of KL, don't miss a visit to Malaysia's most famous Hindu temple. Set in cliff-side caves, it's an incredible place. A giant statue of the god Murugan, Ganesh's brother, guards the entrance to the temple and greets pilgrims with a benevolent smile. He gives them strength before climbing the 272 steps to the caves. The temple welcomes millions of pilgrims during the Thaipusam festival in February. An incredible sight, but not suitable for children.Take the KTM Komuter at KL Sentral towards Batu Caves on platform no. 3. Departures approx. every 30 min.
