Port Dickson, regarded as Kuala Lumpur's seaside resort, proudly stretches its beach for almost 18 kilometers to Cape Rachado in the state of Malacca. Although the latter doesn't particularly stand out for its character, it attracts locals in droves at weekends, and during the vacations, it's fully booked. For a more rewarding experience, it's worth venturing to Desaru in Johor, along the coast of the China Sea. There, a beach of enchanting beauty stretches an even more impressive distance. Less crowded, better protected from pollution, it's a little haven of peace.
