This small and picturesque village is located in the area of the Collsacabra highlands, offering spectacular landscapes with its steep depressions and oak forests. Rupit i Pruit, with a population of about 300, is a well-preserved medieval village with beautiful stone houses from the 16th and 17th centuries, adorned with flowered balconies. Because of its singular architecture, the old village forge(ferreria) has been reproduced in the Poble Espanyol of Barcelona. Don't miss the walk from the village to the Salt de Sallent waterfall (about 1 hour and 15 minutes walk), an absolutely beautiful natural site.
