Sabadell is one of the two capitals of the county of Vallès Occidental, the second being Terrassa. It was one of the pioneer cities of the industrial revolution in Catalonia in the 19th century thanks to its textile industry. From this period, the city has preserved a vast industrial and modernist heritage. Today, Sabadell remains a very dynamic city, which lives at the rhythm of its numerous fairs in the Fira Sabadell, a former industrial building converted into a congress centre. Access by car from Barcelona via the C-58. Rodalies trains: line R4 (40 min. journey) or FGC trains: line S2 from Barcelona (45 min. journey)
