Located 7 km northwest of Darnius on the GI-503, this fortified village lies at the foot of the eastern slopes of the Pyrenees. Discover the remains of its 14th and 15th century walls. But you can also visit the town center, with its large modernist café in the center of the village, and the late-Romanesque church of Sant Martí. To the north-east of the village, a visit to the ruins of Cabrera castle, a medieval fortification, gives access to a high point of the saltworks massif, the roca de Cabrera (852 m), which offers a fine view over much of the Alt Empordà and Garroxa. As does the Roc del Comptador at 1,445 m.
