The town's main asset is its varied architectural heritage. Both Romanesque and Gothic, with the facades, porticoes and windows of the buildings on Carrer Major and the arcades of Carrer d'Avall, and Modernist, with the Can Verdaguer and Can Cendra buildings and the superb Aliança d'Anglès bar-restaurant. You'll also discover an important part of Catalonia's industrial heritage, a gigantic, century-old steam engine still in working order, once used in textile mills: the Vapor de la Burès. The lush natural surroundings can be enjoyed on foot or by bike.
