Prato Spilla, 65 km from Parma, is a small town at an altitude of 1,350 meters. It is the starting point to discover the natural park of the Hundred Lakes . Prato Spilla is one of the stops on the Alta Via dei Parchi, a 500 km hiking trail along the Apennine ridges that begins in Berceto, 60 km south of Parma, and ends in the Marche region, after passing through eight national and regional parks. Beautiful landscapes, dotted with glacial lakes, beech and fir forests, meadows and rocky peaks (www.altaviadeiparchi.eu). In winter, 10 km of slopes between 1,300 and 1,700 m are a delight for skiers.
