Cocodrie is a wild, authentic place, where life is a daily struggle against coastal erosion, for the preservation of the Acadian language. Cocodrie means crocodile in Cajun, but the alligators have long since fled the area: the salt water that invades the marshes did not please them at all. It is this same salinity that sometimes gives a ghostly air to certain landscapes of Southern Louisiana. Cocodrie is an excursion far from the city where we will eat good fish, chat with fishermen, get a good view from the LumCon observation tower and finish with a cocktail at the end of the end.
