After the beautiful coastline of the villages of Tofte and Lutsen, you arrive in the Cascade River State Park, where the river flows out of the hills, jumping from rock to rock: a series of small bridges allow you to cross it safely. The park offers rugged and rocky landscapes. 18 miles of trails run through Cascade River State Park, where you can also enjoy cross-country skiing and long snowmobile rides. There is an entrance fee of US$7 per vehicle for a day's stay. A few miles after Cascade River, we reach Grand Marais, the largest village on the shore of Lake Superior after Duluth.
