Kruth is located on the road from Saint-Amarin to Wildenstein. It is a recent village whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. At the time, this back valley belonged to the abbey of Murbach, which ceded its rights to vassals, ultimately the Count of Württemberg until 1467, then to the Bollwiller family through the House of Austria. The village remained in the hands of the abbots of Murbach until the French Revolution. Kruth is also famous for its artificial lake, a paradise for fishermen and swimmers. You can even zip-line over it. The village also boasts the Château de Wildenstein, perched on the summit of the Schlossberg.
