Separated from the commune of Bourbach-le-Bas, the village, at 600 meters altitude, is the highest in the Thann region. The village benefits from a privileged environment at the foot of the Rossberg massif, giving full meaning to the term "green tourism" and making it one of the last "white zones" in Alsace. Depending on the season, there are cross-country ski trails, tennis courts and numerous footpaths, while the mountainsides are ideal for horseback riding, mountain biking, snowshoeing and even a tasty meal in a farmhouse inn. Bourbach-le-Bas is best known for its ancient underground galleries and shafts.
