On the borders of the province of Namur and the region of Charleroi, Fosses-la-Ville and its five villages are well anchored in the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region, which is rich in folklore. In Fosses, the Saint-Feuillen festival is celebrated every seven years (next edition: 2026). The town is also famous for its carnival of the Mi-Carême, the Laetare, which features the Chinels, distant descendants of the polichinelles. The town has a remarkable collegiate church dedicated to Saint Feuillen. It has a 10th century Romanesque tower and a crypt that is unique in Belgium. A few kilometres from the town, the lake of Bambois is a real natural setting.
