Fritch is a small Texas town near Lake Meredith, which offers plenty of open space and hiking trails, as well as camping areas in the surrounding Lake Meredith Recreation Area, right next door. The town of Fritch has a population of about 2,000 people, and is susceptible to tornadoes. Fritch is located 56 km from Amarillo and 21 km from Borger, in an area where the high plains are divided into canyons and loom along the Canadian River. The city is located on flat land surrounded by hilly terrain. It is not worth the detour, but it is a town where you can stop on the way.
