LAKE MEREDITH NATIONAL RECREATION AREA

this lake, created to supply water to 11 cities, is located on dry windy plains. It offers many recreational opportunities such as fishing, boating, water skiing, sailing, scuba diving and swimming. Hunting, horseback riding and hiking are also available. The local nature includes meadows: the home of the local rattlesnakes, which you have to be very careful with, hiding in the grass.
