Between Amarillo and Vega, the Route 66 quickly works with the North Frontage Road over 37 miles. Between the two, the towns of Bushland and Wildorado cross quickly. Some grain elevators brighten the landscape. In Vega, we stop for a drink or lunch at the excellent Hickory Inn, take the time of a photo in front of the Magnolia Gas Station of 1920 (at the corner of Highway 385 and Coke Street), and go to Dot's Mini Museum (105 North 12 th Street). The Milburn Price and Culture Museum can also provide an opportunity to learn more about life in the region (Coke Street). Several frescoes, made in 2014 on different walls of downtown buildings, can also give rise to beautiful photos. You can then return to the Highway 40 (Route 66 from 1930-40) to Meridian.
