Founded in 1898, Veuve Ambal is a family-run business specializing in sparkling wines. Cellar tours by appointment.

A large family business, born in 1898, specialized in sparkling wines. Its 250 ha of vineyards cover 6 different terroirs producing numerous crémants of Burgundy appellation as well as more prestigious crus: brut blanc de blanc, vintage, grande cuvée, organic. The guided or audio-guided tour reveals the workshops, cellars, robots and automatons. In the store, you will find products from the Burgundy region: aniseed from Flavigny, Fallot mustard, Prosper Maufoux wines from Saint-Aubin.

Visite de l'entreprise bien, bonnes explications et connaissance du guide. Visite le week-end donc les machines à l'arrêt. Privilégiez si possible la semaine.
Par contre le guide ce n'est pas possible. Autant il a les connaissances, autant son "humour" lourd n'était pas adapté. Il jure à chaque phrase et insulte les gens "par humour". Très dommage

Il s'agit principalement d'une visite guidée où vous marchez le long d'un mur avec l'histoire de la création du crémant. À neuf moments différents, des explications supplémentaires sont données par le biais d'un audio (vous pouvez choisir différentes langues, y compris la langue néerlandaise). Vers la fin de la visite, vous pouvez assister au processus de production. Ce n'est pas vraiment spectaculaire. À la toute fin, il y a une dégustation de différents crémants. Bien entendu, on suppose que vous achèterez également quelque chose. Pour le prix d'entrée de 9,50 €, nous ne pensons pas que cela en vaille la peine.
