Founded in 1750, this is one of the oldest houses in Beaune. Michel Bouchard, draper and wine merchant, and later his son Joseph, established the family here. Visit the Hôtel du Conseiller du Roy, a superb residence dating from 1743. The "Discovery" tour includes a sensory, playful and interactive 5-sensory tour, and a tasting of 5 wines that opens the 18th-century cellars. The "Souvenir" tour includes a Premier Cru and Grand Cru tasting, and you leave with a souvenir bottle. In the boutique, bottles to suit all tastes.

The tour was very noisy and had an overall rude atmosphere because it was conducted alongside a Chinese group tour. A significant amount of time during the English tour was wasted on providing Chinese translation. I truly hope no one ends up wasting their time and money on this tour.
There was no distinction between private and group tours, so it felt like we were just eavesdropping on another group's explanations, mostly consisting of Chinese package tourists.
To make matters worse, if one or two people from the group didn’t follow along, we had to wait for 10 minutes each time. This is the first time I’ve experienced such inefficiency on a tour.
The explanations about the history and the winery were also very lacking.
Even when the group caused a commotion, no one made an effort to stop them.
I hope others don’t waste their time here.
our usual budget for a bottle was too good to miss.
