Fabien Berteau, crowned France's best pastry chef in 2015, established his store in Beaune, refurbished with refinement in 2024. He unveils subtle-flavored creations, with his signature cheesecake accompanied by seasonal fruits. Pavlova, Saint-Honoré and lemon tart are brilliantly reinterpreted, first seducing our eyes with their visual elegance before awakening our taste buds. His tea room, Le Garden, is now located opposite the patisserie.

We wanted to try the pastry shop while walking through the city. The pastry was ok but the service absolutely terrible. I kindly asked for a napkin and the saleswoman asked my : “why?” bringing me the napkin with bad mood. Too much arrogant, such a pitty for the image of Beaune.

Au détour d’une promenade à Beaune, nous nous sommes arrêtés dans cette magnifique pâtisserie pour acheter des desserts pour nos convives. Toutes les pâtisseries étaient plus excellentes les unes que les autres, et plus particulièrement le Saint-Honoré qui est tout bonnement le meilleur que j’ai pu manger à ce jour (et pourtant, qu’est-ce que j’ai pu en essayer…). Nous reviendrons sans la moindre hésitation et prendrons plaisir à tester la partie salon de thé.

We tried the newly opened little cafe. A very nice place with good coffee and tea and great service. The view to the little plaza is very pleasant. We tried the salted pies. Salmon and meat and they were delightful. The flan is to die for. Wishing them a great success.
