Halfway between Cartago and Turrialba, this small village, nestled in the middle of the green valleys, represents little interest in itself, the activities are not numerous there, except the contemplation of the local life. However, the village has good restaurants where you can stop if you are on your way to Cartago or Turrialba. As for the name of the village, it is said that it was a conquistador descended from Cervantes (the famous Spanish writer of Don Quixote) who founded it and gave it his name. In reference to Don Quixote, a restaurant in Cervantes is called "Los Molinos de Viento".
