Limuru is a small town 40 km northwest of Nairobi, located on the edge of the Rift Valley at an altitude of 2,500 meters. It was once one of the centers of the White Highlands, the fertile lands where white settlers settled to farm. There are still many farms run by descendants of the settlers. Since 1903, tea plantations have shaped the landscape of the region. Because of its proximity to Nairobi and its location on the main highway linking Nairobi to other cities such as Naivasha, Eldoret and Kisumu, Limuru attracts many investors and businesses.
