This small park of 68 km², opened in 1984, is particularly spectacular and very pleasant to visit because you can walk or cycle alone. To cross zebras, gazelles, antelopes or buffaloes on foot does not give the same sensations as in a car. A few cheetahs and leopards also live in the area, but they are almost impossible to see and rather shy. The cliffs, more than 120 m high, are home to many birds of prey: Verreaux's eagles, buzzards, vultures, etc., and offer great climbing opportunities.Hell's Gate is also famous for its intense geothermal activity: steam jets escape from the flanks of the Olkaria volcano and provide considerable electrical production. Its ease of access and its originality make this park a very beautiful destination. Camping is the only option within the park. There are several sites, which promise beautiful starry nights
