Narok is not very interesting, except for its proximity to the Maasai Mara, which makes it an essential stop on the way to the park. One can walk there pleasantly, in streets cluttered by quantity of stalls and small stores selling everything and anything. We will also go and have a look at the Great Mosque. With its emerald green glass domes, it is one of the prettiest in Kenya. Narok is actively involved in the management of the reserve, with 19% of the total revenue collected at the Mara going to support community members around the Mara.
