Once the largest coffee production centre on the island, La Ravine-des-Cabris is today a small flowery village, inhabited by small huts and an old coffee mill, whose chimney still points to the sky. La Ravine-des-Cabris is surrounded by other more or less contiguous towns and villages, which we have grouped together in this section: Bois d'Olives, Ligne Paradis, Ligne des Bambous et les Quatre-Cents and Condé.This region, well situated near the big cities and the accesses to the volcano and Cilaos, lends itself to vacationing: the climate is pleasant and the panorama on the slopes often leads from the ocean to the Piton des Neiges.
