The big town of Anchovy is very close to Montego Bay: it is only 7km away. It is not simply slumbering in the dampness of the hills. At the back of the town, Anchovy is buzzing with activity, especially in its main street. Here you have the possibility to buy supplies in supermarkets and gas stations. From 1895 to 1992, Anchovy was served by the train connecting Kingston to Montego Bay. The old station, now abandoned, still bears witness to this. The bird sanctuary, which is the focal point of this community, is located before you enter the township, a few kilometers upstream from MoBay
