Boulaide is located on the access road to the Hochfels rock, built in 1970, and to its remains of the Second World War. This municipality of 1,256 inhabitants is bounded on the west by the Belgian border, which separates it from the province of Luxembourg. Bastogne (Belgium) is only 18 km away, while Luxembourg-City is 49 km to the south. Two self-guided tours start from the village of Boulaide. Their loops are respectively 7.8 km and 7.4 km long, and take you through the Sûre valley. It is possible to fish in the ponds of Boulaide with the only formality being the payment of a fee.
