The pretty picturesque village of Ansembourg has two castles. The Renaissance castle, located in the valley and on the route of the Seven Castles circuit, was built in 1638. The feudal castle, which overlooks the village, dates from the 12th century and was rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is now a magnificent luxury hotel that can be reached by a detour of several kilometres, via Hollenfels or Tuntange. The house is surrounded by beautiful baroque terraced gardens open to the public free of charge. Decorated with statues, decorative staircases and fountains, they are particularly worth a visit.
